QiGong is often referred to as ‘meditation in motion’. We begin with reconnecting our bodies to the earth below and the heavens above, aligning our bodies and our breath with the present moment. As we begin to move the spine and link our breath, we shift our autonomic nervous system from sympathetic to parasympathetic. Additional movements are specifically designed to release tension from the body and activate acupressure points. When the energy is flowing,
‘we’ step back and allow this flow to move through us, bringing us into moving meditation, or flow movements.
The practice is about 60 minutes. I will begin with a brief introduction of QiGong. Once we have completed the practice, everyone is going into a state of relaxation, a perfect time to sit or lie down for a 20 minutes Sound Healing Meditation.
